Regional carrier ExpressJet is halting commercial flights under its brand name on that day because of rising fuel costs. New Orleans is the carrier's only Louisiana stop.

The Houston-based company said it will continue its corporate charter business and the service it provided for Continental Airlines.

ExpressJet currently flies to five destinations from New Orleans. Those include Raleigh-Durham in North Carolina, Austin, San Antonio, Kansas City and Jacksonville, Florida.
