NEW ORLEANS - New Orleans will lose 10 daily round trip flights on Sept. 2.
Regional carrier ExpressJet is halting commercial flights under its brand name on that day because of rising fuel costs. New Orleans is the carrier's only Louisiana stop.
The Houston-based company said it will continue its corporate charter business and the service it provided for Continental Airlines.
ExpressJet currently flies to five destinations from New Orleans. Those include Raleigh-Durham in North Carolina, Austin, San Antonio, Kansas City and Jacksonville, Florida.
