NEW YORK - Shares of electrical equipment companies closed mostly higher Thursday, along with the broader market, helped by the more than $15 billion buyout of Rohm and Haas Co. by rival Dow Chemical Co.
Here's how some shares of electrical equipment makers fared:
Baldor Electric Co., up $1.07, or 3.2 percent, to $34.12.
Regal Beloit Corp., up 81 cents, or 2 percent, to $41.64.
Amphenol Corp., up 80 cents to $45.39.
Emerson Electric Co., up 71 cents to $49.78.
