NEW YORK - Internet software and services stocks finished Thursday's trading mostly higher, following the overall market's climb as a deal between Dow Chemical and rival Rohm and Haas helped offset financial sector and oil price worries.

Yahoo Inc. fell 32 cents to $23.50.
Google Inc. fell 98 cents to $540.57.
Akamai Technologies Inc. rose 62 cents to $31.72.
