NEW YORK - Health care equipment and supply stocks were mixed in late trading Friday, an erratic day on Wall Street marked by investor concern over the future of mortgage financiers Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and a resurgence in oil prices.
How shares of some major health care equipment and supply companies fared:
Covidien Ltd. lost 10 cents to close at $48.86.
Baxter International Inc. lost 6 cents to $65.24.
Varian Medical Systems Inc. rose 53 cents to $49.98.
Stryker Corp. dipped 27 cents to $65.64.
