Lee Enterprises Inc. named Jim Ristow the regional publisher of the Beatrice Daily Sun, Plattsmouth Journal and One Magazine in Omaha.
Ristow replaces Ken Lingen, who had been Daily Sun publisher since February 2007. The Beatrice paper will no longer have its own publisher.
Ristow has been publisher of the Plattsmouth newspaper since 2005 and spent 20 years working in the circulation department of the Omaha World-Herald.
The Beatrice newspaper's editor, Harold Campbell, recently announced his resignation to accept a reporting position at the Chanute (Kan.) Tribune.
Campbell said he took the new job to be closer to his children, who are attending college in Kansas. Campbell had been editor in Beatrice since April 2007.
A new editor has not been named yet.
