ATLANTA (AP)--Credit reporting service Equifax Inc. said its second quarter profit rose 1 percent as sales rose 10 percent, led by growth in its international business. Its U.S. consumer business sales fell, struggling in a weak economy.

GLENVIEW, Ill. (AP)--Electronics and cable products distributor Anixter International Inc. said Tuesday its second-quarter profit rose 4 percent as sales grew despite the economic uncertainty, thanks to customers in a broad range of markets and geographic regions.
