In addition, Paccar said Mike Tembreull will retire as vice chairman and a director in January.

The company's board also elected Jim Cardillo, who joined the company in 1990, as its president, also effective Sept. 1.

Paccar shares fell $1.15, or 2.6 percent, to $43.45 in afternoon trading.
