Electronic Arts Inc., a world leader of interactive entertainment software, said on Wednesday it signed a joint deal with United Talent Agency to turn EA's videogames titles into films and television programs.

EA Entertainment Vice President said the partnering is a way to bring the popular games onto other forms of media and it will open new way for consumers to experience the creative concepts of the games.

No financial information about the investment was disclosed.

"Some of our teams have already made steps to expand our games into other forms of media like online, social networks and print publication. This partnership will help us take these efforts to the next level and match each of our titles with the right artists, producers and financiers," said Patrick O'Brien, Vice President of EA Entertainment in a press release yesterday.

Electronic Arts is working with Starz/Film Roman to produce an animated DVD feature version of its new title" Dead Space" which will be launched with the game.
