SAN DIEGO - Cytori Therapeutics Inc., which develops technology to preserve and develop stem cells, said Monday it will sell one of its stem-cell systems to Astrea International for an undisclosed amount.

Astrea committed to buy one StemCource Cell Bank in Singapore. The system prepares cells to be preserved by freezing.
Astrea also obtained rights from Cytori to sell the system in Malaysia and Brunei. Currently, the system marketed to hospitals in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand exclusively by Green Hospital Supply. Cytori sells it directly in Europe, the Middle East and additional countries in Asia.
Shares of Cytori fell 48 cents, or 6.6 percent, to $6.77 in afternoon trading. The stock has traded between $4.62 and $8.56 over the last 52 weeks.
