Bloomberg is hosting a reception this evening at Gracie Mansion. He said he wants to welcome the New York senator back from the 18-month-long primary, where he says she worked with her heart and soul.

Bloomberg said the gathering is a celebration and not a fundraiser for Clinton. She is still working to retire millions in debt from the hard-fought Democratic primary that she lost to Barack Obama.

The billionaire mayor did not endorse Clinton or anyone in the democrat primary and has not yet said whom he'll support in the November election between Obama and Republican John McCain.

Meanwhile, Barack Obama might also have his own celebration somewhere tonight as he celebrates his 47th birthday.
