WASHINGTON - Boeing Co.'s McDonnell Douglas Corp. received a $659.2 million contract boost from the Navy to buy 13 F/A-18Fs strike fighter jets and three E/A-18G Growler aircraft for the service, the Pentagon said late Tuesday.

Shares of Chicago-based Boeing added $3.84, or 6.3 percent, to close at $65.20.
