McCain offers $6 Mln for Beijing Olympic Ads, more than Obama

McCain advertising campaign for the Olympic Games went to $6 million, more than Obama, who spent $5 million during NBC's Beijing Olympics telecasts.

A primetime 30-second spot goes to $750,000 for a regular advertiser, but it is not known how much McCain would spend per spot.

McCain and Obama's commercial campaigns will both run until early September.

These campaigns mark the buy of the first national TV spots by presidential candidates since 1996, when Dole bought only one national TV commercial.
