"The Dark Knight" won't beat "Titanic" for the all-time U.S. box-office crown based on its current performance, the movie's distributor Warner Brothers said, according to a report.

" 'Titanic' was once in a lifetime, and I don't think we'll ever have another gross like that in the history of the industry," Warners domestic distribution president Dan Fellman told the Hollywood Reporter. "Of course, if there is one, I'd like to have it."

The 'Batman Begins' sequel is currently third on the all-time list. It has so far earned $441.6 million in the U.S. and $263.5 million internationally in its four weeks of release.

"Star Wars," released in 1977, has earned $461 million domestically for the No. 2 ranking. "Titanic," released in 1998, has the top spot at $600.8 million in the U.S. and $1.24 billion internationally.

Fellman expects that the latest Batman film will reach $500 million domestically by Labor Day and reach a total of $515 million to $520 million in total box office sales, judging from its current performance.
