The Williams sisters advance, and so does Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in the latest round of Olympic tennis.

Venus Williams passed through after defeating Victoria Azareneka of Bealrus, 6-3, 6-2. Her sister Serena, performing on center court, defeated the young French woman, Alize Cornet from France, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.

The victories place the sisters in the opposite side of the Olympic final, opening up the way for a classic replay.

On the men's side, Federer beat Berdych whom he bitterly lost to in the Athens 2004, by 6-3,7-4.

Federer is now in the quarterfinals after outplaying James Blake. Federer made his way into a quarterfinals against U.S. star James Blake, the eighth-seeded player, who has never beaten him.

Nadal easily beat Igor Andreev of Russia with 6-4 6-2.

Nadal and Federer could most likely clash for the Olympic gold Sunday.
