WASHINGTON - Adobe Systems Inc. spent $98,849 in the second quarter to lobby on patent reform and legislation intended to ensure that individuals with disabilities have access to the Internet and video programming, according to a recent disclosure report.

The San Jose, Calif.-based software company, which specializes in Web publishing programs, also lobbied on the Federal Desktop Core Configuration, a mandate that requires all federal agencies to standardize their computer configurations to strengthen network security.
Besides Congress, Adobe lobbied the Office of Management and Budget, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology during the April-June period, according to the form filed July 21 with the Senate clerk's office.
