NEW YORK - Fast-food chain operator CKE Restaurants Inc. on Wednesday said same-store sales rose during the four weeks ended Aug. 11 at both its Carl's Jr. and Hardee's restaurants.

Sales in restaurants open at least one year, a key retail metric known as same-store sales, rose 3 percent, including a 4.2 percent increase at Carl's Jr. and a 1.4 percent rise at Hardee's.
Year-to-date, same-store sales rose 2.6 percent, including a 3.9 percent rise at Carl's Jr. and a 1 percent rise at Hardee's.
