The postings for "Tropic Thunder" include reviews from more than a dozen of popular news sources including Ebert & Roeper, The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The New York Post, among many others.

The R-rated comedy from DreamWorks Studios and Paramount Pictures "Tropic Thunder" grossed $44 million at the U.S. Box office on its first full week in theaters, according to BoxOfficemojo.com. It grossed $25.8 million on its domestic opening weekend.

"Tropic Thunder" is a DreamWorks Studios production distributed by Paramount and has also caused controversy for being offensive to organizations representing intellectually disabled people, who protest that it uses the labels "retard" and "retarded" for comic effect, and uses visual images to ridicule people with developmental disabilities.
