Personal care group spent $460K lobbying in 2Q

_ The Personal Care Products Council, whose members include Elizabeth Arden, Saks Inc. and dozens of other companies, spent $460,000 in the second quarter to lobby on proposed regulations of cosmetics and other issues, according to a recent disclosure report.

The trade group of cosmetic, toiletry and fragrance companies also lobbied the federal government on legislation involving funding for the Office of Cosmetic Colors within the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition at the Food and Drug Administration.

In the April-June period, the trade group lobbied Congress and the FDA, according to the report filed July 21 with the House clerk's office.
