Actress Cloris Leachman, an Oscar and multiple Emmy winner, will also have the distinction of being the oldest competitor ever on "Dancing With the Stars."
Leachman, 82, beats out veteran television actor George Hamilton, who was 66 at the time.
The show begins its seventh season on September 22.
Leachman won her Oscar award in 1971 for her supporting role in "The Last Picture Show." She is also known for her work as the character Phyllis on the Mary Tyler Moore Show.
Other credits include her turn as Frau Blucher in Mel Brook's "Young Frankenstein."
