NEW YORK - Shares of some top homebuilders companies were up at the close of trading:

Quotes

CTX	5.21	-0.66
DHI	4.08	-0.44
HOV	1.71	-0.34
LEN	3.5	-0.3

Centex rose $.91 or 6.1 percent, to $15.87.

DR Horton rose $.53 or 4.5 percent, to $12.19.

Hovnanian rose $.34 or 4.9 percent, to $7.25.

Lennar rose $.91 or 7.5 percent, to $13.11.
