NEW YORK - Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan's dad, Michael Lohan, has launched a scathing attack on the actress' close friend Samantha Ronson, calling her "a drug" and insisting that she's using his daughter to gain publicity.
"People like Samantha Ronson don't need to be around Lindsay. Who was Samantha Ronson before Lindsay Lohan? She was nobody," he told ABC news.
"She is using her for her own gain. All these people have inserted themselves into her life like parasites, and it's not right."
In response to her father's remarks, Lindsay told Access Hollywood: "He's out of control. ... I want him to stop hurting and talking to the media about the people I love."
"It really hurts, because I have tried -- after all that my mother and siblings have gone through -- I really tried to make things work for the hope of having a father again; wanting things to change, even though people have said some people will forever remain the same," Lohan writes on her MySpace Celebrity blog.
"Having said that -- the people were right, and he is yet to change -- but this time, without his daughter by his side. He has become a public embarrassment and a bully to my family, my co-workers, my friends, and a girl that means the world to me (it's obvious who that is)... His recent attack on my life and my loved ones is simply for an ADDICTION THAT HE HAS -- FAME," she wrote.
This latest slur seems to have seriously rattled DJ Sam who has retaliated through her blog accusing the ex-con of being 'desperate for attention' and adding: "'I'm just sorry that she likes me more than him."
