The former teen star wrote on her MySpace blog that her father, Michael Lohan, has become a "public embarrassment and a bully" to her and "a girl that means the world to me."
"His recent attack on my life and my loved ones is simply for an addiction that he has - fame," the actress wrote.
The 22-year-old actress has been estranged from her father for many years and said she had tried to make things work in the hope "of having a father again" and "wanting things to change".
The backlash came after Michael Lohan accused her girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, earlier this week of "using" his daughter to gain publicity after hearing rumors that she plans to release a tell-all book about her life with Lindsay.
Speaking on "The Billy Bush Show" on Wednesday, Michael called Lindsay's relationship with Samantha Ronson "toxic" and called her a "parasite."
"Lindsay doesn't drink or use, she has been responsible with her work, she's been doing a great job — however drinking and using isn't the only form of addiction, and the relationship that Lindsay has with Samantha is toxic," he said.
In a separate post on MySpace, Ronson said she felt "no need to publicly defend my role in Lindsay's life — I'm just sorry that she likes me more than him."
