NEW YORK - Endo Pharmaceuticals said Tuesday its Chief Financial Officer Charles Rowland has resigned to pursue other interests.

Rowland's resignation takes effect immediately, and the company did not announce a replacement. The Chadds Ford, Pa.-based company said it has tapped an outside firm to help find a new financial chief.

Shares of Endo Pharmaceuticals fell 20 cents Tuesday to close at $22.52.
