Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected a 1.2 percent decline.

Chairman and Chief Executive Thomas Reinckens said in a statement that Tropical Storm Fay hurt one of its biggest markets by causing the temporary closure of some Florida stores.

For the four weeks ended Aug. 23, revenue fell 5 percent to $16.3 million.

Year-to-date same store sales climbed 2 percent, while revenue increased 3 percent to $175 million.

Cache operates 295 Cache and Cache Luxe stores in 43 states, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
