Air Products, an industrial gases and equipment supplier, announced plans in July to sell the U.S. health care unit, including A&J Care and COPD Services, and begin reporting it as a discontinued operation.
It said it had reached preliminary agreement to sell A&J Care's metropolitan New York operations, in Glendale and Peekskill, and COPD Services' New Jersey operations in Runnemede, Cape May Courthouse and Cedar Grove.
A total of 180 employees associated with those businesses have been offered employment with Landauer Metropolitan, the company said.
Shares of Air Products fell $1.55 to $85.17 in morning trading.
