The maker of motion- and flow-control products said the electronics package will provide protection against ice buildup on the helicopter's engine air inlets, windshield and main and tail rotor blades.
The contract has a potential value of more than $18 million over a 12-year period.
Helicopters often need to be grounded to avoid ice buildup on rotor blades, which creates unstable flight operations, Curtiss-Wright said.
The company's Motion Control facility in City of Industry, Calif., will supply products under the contract. Delivery will begin in early 2009.
Korea Aerospace Industries is funded by the South Korean government.
