FTC requests info from Dow on Rohm and Haas deal

MIDLAND, Mich. - Dow Chemical Co. said Friday it has received a request for additional information from the Federal Trade Commission related to its proposed acquisition of Rohm and Haas Co.

Dow said it plans to comply with the request, which is a standard part of the regulatory approval process, in a timely fashion.

Dow agreed to buy the Philadelphia-based specialty chemicals maker in July for more than $15 billion in cash.

The deal remains subject to Rohm and Haas shareholder approval and other customary closing conditions.
