BETHESDA, Md. - Defense contractor Lockheed Martin Corp. said Friday it has been awarded a lucrative contract to provide logistics and systems services for the U.S. Navy in the U.S. and abroad.

The contract was awarded by the U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in San Diego.
The period of performance is a three-year base period worth up to $59 million. Two additional award term periods raise the potential value to $189 million, Lockheed Martin said.
Under the new contract, Lockheed Martin will provide a range of services including logistics planning, configuration management, system integration, system installations, technical documentation, training development, customer support and technical field support. The programs these services support are in the areas of Navy command, control, communications and computers, plus intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance--also known as C4ISR.
