"The Hills" reality star Lauren Conrad, 22, has signed a deal to write a three-book series of young adult fiction for Harper Collins, she told People.
The books are scheduled for release in the summer of 2009. They will include some elements of Conrad's own experience growing up in the eye of television cameras.
"It's definitely influenced by my own life," Conrad she said. "The books are about a girl who moves to L.A. and stars in a reality show, so obviously there are some similarities."
The characters will not necessarily reflect her actual reality TV co-stars.
"Some of the characters may symbolize people in my life, but it is in no way calling anyone out."
She has already completed the outline for the first book.
