Lindsay Lohan and gal pal Samantha Ronson joined other Hollywood celebrities by taking aim at Republican vice presidential hopeful Gov. Sarah Palin, bashing the candidate on homosexuality and abortion.
"I really cannot bite my tongue anymore when it comes to Sarah Palin," Lohan writes, urging people to vote for Sen. Barack Obama. "Is it a sin to be gay? Should it be a sin to be straight? Or to use birth control? Or to have sex before marriage? Or even to have a child out of wedlock?"
Lohan referred to an Associated Press story in her blog, where Palin's Wasilla, Alaska, church was encouraging a conference that promises to convert gays into heterosexuals through the power of prayer.
The actress asks "Is our country so divided that the Republicans' best hope is a narrow minded, media obsessed homophobe?"
While discussing abortion on her blog, Lohan wrote "Women have come a long way in the fight to have the choice over what we do with our bodies." Here too, she blasted Palin saying, "it's frightening to see that a woman in 2008 would negate all of that."
Matt Damon also had a few words to share at the Toronto Film Festival about the potential vice president. "You do the actuary tables, there's a one out of three chance, if not more, that McCain doesn't survive his first term, and it'll be President Palin. ... It's like a really bad Disney movie, "The Hockey Mom." Oh, I'm just a hockey mom from Alaska, and she's president.
