Günter Parche is the German man who stabbed tennis player Monica Seles during a quarterfinal tennis match in Hamburg Germany in 1993.
Parche caused Seles -who by then was the number one player in the World- to leave the sport that year because of an injury in her upper back.
Seles came back to the tennis court in 1995 but couldn´t catch up with her exceptional level before the incident. For more: BBC News
