NEW YORK - The Web site for Bank of America was down on Monday for some customers, a spokeswoman for the bank said.
Tara Burke, a spokesperson for the bank said that "We've had sporadic interruption of online banking service. It doesn't impact customer information, just the ability to access it. We are continuing to correct the error. The site should return shortly."
Burke would not say if it was due to Bank of America's attempted purchase of Merrill Lynch.
The site has been broken since around 11AM Eastern time.
Clients have been trying to log in all day, but the system has not been able to verify their client information and not allowing them to access their banking tools.
