Early this month Idaho's Vandals football team won 42-27 against Idaho State, the day its cheerleaders wore their "controversial" and sexy uniforms.

After an uproar about the outfits and a temporary change to less exposing uniforms, the team lost 42-17 against Utah State. The new temporary garments were black volleyball shorts and football jerseys.

Whether or not the uniforms influenced the results, they will be replaced, according to a university official.

"To be fair, there were a number of fans who liked them," said Bruce Pitman, Dean of students of the University, according to the Associated Press.

New uniforms were ordered for $2,200 by the University squad. They had to be modified to longer tops and skirts after spectators complained the clothing was too skimpy.

The new uniforms are reportedly black and silver, according to the Associated Press today. They will debut on October 4.
