Last month, the review board picked Harrah's Entertainment Inc., for Sumner County. It's plans to open in March 2010.

The board also picked Penn National Gaming Inc. for Cherokee County, but Penn walked away from the deal, saying it couldn't compete with a nearby Oklahoma tribal casino. The Lottery will reopen bids for contracts in that area.
