L-3 Communications gets $38.8M Navy pact

WASHINGTON - A division of L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. received a $38.8 million contract boost from the Navy to provide logistics support for three types of aircraft, the Pentagon said late Thursday.

L-3's Vertex Aerospace LLC will provide services for the H-60 Black Hawk helicopter, the T-39, a twin-jet utility plane and the H-3 Sea King, an anti-submarine warfare helicopter.

Shares of the New York-based company fell 99 cents to $99.43 in morning trading.
