TransDigm buys assets from GE Aviation for $69M

WASHINGTON - TransDigm Group Inc. said it has acquired some assets of Unison Industries LLC from General Electric Co.'s GE Aviation unit for about $69 million in cash.

The acquired product line includes SLICK magnetos, harnesses and components for the general aviation aircraft market.

TransDigm Group, based in Cleveland, makes ignition systems, gear pumps, cockpit security devices and other components used on commercial and military airplanes.

The company's shares fell 15 cents to $34.86 Friday.
