US dollar mixed, gold fell in morning trading

LONDON - The U.S. dollar was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Friday morning. Gold fell.

The euro traded at $1.4580 down from $1.4622 late Thursday in New York.

Other dollar rates:

_105.454 Japanese yen, down from 106.48

_1.0891 Swiss francs, down from 1.0893

_1.0351 Canadian dollars, down from 1.0338

The British pound was quoted at $1.8365, down from $$1.8382 .

Gold traded in London at $869.00 per troy ounce, down from $888.50 late Thursday.
