NEW YORK - Shares of some top silver companies are mixed at 10 a.m.:

Quotes

HL	1.48	0.38
PAAS	12.1	2.8
SSRI	8.25	1.59
SLW	2.81	0.24

Hecla Mining fell $.13 or 2.5 percent, to $5.17.

Pan American Silver rose $.16 or .7 percent, to $24.27.

Silver Standard fell $.82 or 4.3 percent, to $18.27.

Silver Wheaton fell $.11 or 1.2 percent, to $8.96.
