NEW YORK - Shares of some top railroads companies were down at the close of trading:

UNP	47.5	-1.62

Burlington Northern fell $7.30 or 7.4 percent, to $91.04.

CSX fell $2.15 or 3.8 percent, to $54.24.

Canadian National fell $3.41 or 6.6 percent, to $48.13.

Canadian Pacific fell $2.05 or 3.6 percent, to $54.36.

Kansas City Southern fell $4.78 or 10.0 percent, to $42.79.

Norfolk Southern fell $4.43 or 6.3 percent, to $65.50.

Union Pacific fell $4.12 or 5.6 percent, to $69.15.
