SAN JOSE, Calif. - Semiconductor supplier Tessera Technologies Inc. on Monday named Michael Anthofer as its new chief financial officer.

Anthofer, 56, was most recently CFO at Kodiak Networks Inc., a privately held supplier to wireless carriers. He replaces Charles Webster, who resigned from San Jose, Calif.-based Tessera on Sept. 19 to pursue other interests.
Shares of Tessera fell 68 cents, or 3.9 percent, to $16.83 in morning trading.
