SPRINGDALE, Ark. - Chicken and pork producer Tyson Foods Inc. said Monday that it has appointed Brad Sauer, a senior executive from 3M Company, to its board of directors.

Sauer, 49, is executive vice president of 3M Health Care Business. He is one of 10 Tyson directors and one of six independent members of the board.
