Fred Tomczyk plans to keep his primary office at Ameritrade's New Jersey offices instead of moving to Omaha.
But Tomczyk says he plans to be in Omaha every two or three weeks.
And Tomczyk says he doesn't envision moving Ameritrade's headquarters away from Omaha during his tenure. Most of the company's employees are based in Omaha, and it can trace its roots to First Omaha Securities, which was formed in 1975.
Tomczyk says TD Ameritrade is even considering bidding on the naming rights for Omaha's new baseball stadium although that project is still in the early stages.
