01 October 2008 @ 10:22 am ET

Elliott, co-owner of the Old Town Ale House in Chicago's North Side, said the idea came to him while watching his daughter, Grace, do a dead-on Palin impersonation. His daughter served as the body model for the painting.

"I don't see how [Palin] could be offended by this," Elliot told the Windy Citizen. "I made her into a sex figure."

Elliott's wife, Tobin Mitchen, owns the bar on Chicago's North Side.

"I've been following her religiously," he said according to Chicago Tribune.

"I had never heard of her before, like everyone else. I find her bizarrely fascinating, even though I pretty much despise everything she stands for."
