Comedian Bill Maher's religion-mocking film Religulous opens today in the midst of much controversy from Christian groups and bloggers.
The movie "is full of lies, half-truths, false assumptions, logical contradictions and fallacies, distortions, intolerance, prejudice, bigotry, arrogance, ignorance, and hypocrisy," said Ted Baehr from the Christian Worldview Network.
Religulous "is a pathetic propaganda piece that will warp the hearts and minds of the gullible and the ignorant. It is also very poorly researched and argued," he added.
Other's have a more neutral point of view.
"The film is one-sided, less a measured argument than a bunch of rants and barbed observations. But it's also very funny, which trumps everything else," Robert W. Butler of The Kansas City Star writes.
