Baidu names Yinan Li as chief technology officer

NEW YORK - Chinese Internet search provider Baidu.com Inc. said Monday it has named Yinan Li chief technology officer.

The Beijing-based company did not say who Li was replacing and a representative could not immediately be reached for comment.

Li's appointment is effective immediately.

Li previously served as chief telecommunications scientist and vice president at Chinese telecommunications company Huawei Technologies.
