The Dubai court records say that Tuesday's session was postponed until Oct. 16 when a verdict is expected.

Michelle Palmer and Vince Acors face up to two years in prison and deportation from Dubai if convicted.

The two were arrested in July on a Dubai beach and later charged with engaging in sex outside of marriage, public indecency and drunkenness.

They have acknowledged they were drunk, but denied having sex.
