NEW YORK - Shares of some top silver companies are mixed at noon:

Quotes

HL	1.85	-0.09
PAAS	10.6	-0.66
SSRI	8.35	-0.51
SLW	3.24	-0.29

Hecla Mining rose $.02 or .5 percent, to $3.97.

Pan American Silver rose $.19 or 1.1 percent, to $17.96.

Silver Standard fell $.39 or 2.9 percent, to $12.94.

Silver Wheaton fell $.30 or 4.6 percent, to $6.19.
