NEW YORK - Shares of some top durable goods companies are mixed at 10 a.m.:

Quotes

SWK	30.59	-0.29
BDK	42.41	-0.3
SNA	34.61	-0.92
WHR	39.62	1.97

Black & Decker rose $.96 or 1.9 percent, to $52.09.

Snap-On fell $.81 or 2.0 percent, to $39.36.

Stanley Works fell $.85 or 2.5 percent, to $33.34.

Whirlpool fell $.73 or 1.1 percent, to $63.77.
