A former North Country assemblyman and current member of the New York State Parole Board, is facing child pornography charges, according to The New York Post.
Chris Ortloff, 61, was arrested Monday in a sting operation at a Plattsburgh hotel, according to the paper.
State Police searched Ortloff's home in Plattsburgh for several hours and federal authorities seized a computer from his real estate office in Lake Placid that had child pornography.
Ortloff is scheduled to appear in U.S. District Court today.
