Former major league pitcher Kevin Foster, 39, died on Saturday of cancer.
Foster reportedly died in an Oklahoma City hospital after fighting renal cell carcinoma, according to his brother Mark Foster, the Canadian Press reports today.
"He loved baseball, he loved people and people loved him. He was a happy person who got along with everybody, and we will miss him," said his brother.
After starting out as an infielder, he became a pitcher, finishing with a career record of 32-30 over seven seasons in the Major Leagues.
